There’s a sense of liberation and breaking free of the chains of limitation,
right here, right now as Uranus the Awakener is very closely connected to this New Moon.
Aries is the first sign of the Zodiac and marks the start of a yearly cycle. New beginnings and fresh starts are in the air at this Aries New Moon! You may be sowing seeds toward your hopes and dreams and long-range goals and visions now. There’s a streak of rebellion and doing things differently tied to this New Moon. Dare to stand in your individuality and personal uniqueness, tune into your creative genius and inventiveness. It’s time to let your freak flag fly and get in touch with your inner odd ball! This period could bring you aha moments of revelation and flashes of brilliance, you could make sudden moves, take inspired action, make a sudden break or change course. There could be new friends, groups or networks; technology may also be involved. You will feel the pace picking up and an acceleration now.
The New Moon is also in a critical degree giving it a bit more oomph and importance. The Sabian symbol for the degree of this new moon is, “through imagination, a lost opportunity is regained” perhaps to your surprise or out of the blue since Uranus is in the mix. You can always expect the unexpected with Uranus.
This Aries New Moon bids farewell to Uranus as he has toured the sign of the Ram since 2011. Which area of your life has Uranus awakened, shakened and electrified over these past seven years? Uranus will move on into Taurus next month and that will shake everyone out of their comfort zones. Brace yourselves.
Mercury in Aries is stationing direct the same day as the New Moon, this gives the go ahead to act on some of your thoughts and plans.
Just one day before the New Moon, Jupiter in Scorpio connects with Pluto in Capricorn. This is a very potent influence. These two met up earlier in the year on January 15th. Look back to see what theme presents for you.
On one level, there can be financial benefits, tax benefits or boosts, insurance settlements, divorce settlements, loans, mortgages, inheritance, added commissions, payments, royalties, or joint business ventures, etc. that have the potential to provide a solid basis. Alternatively, you could be trying to slash debt and get down to the bare essentials.
This influence presents opportunity on another level altogether. It gives a depth of knowledge, understanding and meaning - soul growth - by gaining faith, trust, and a belief in your own power so that you can eliminate what holds you back and stands in your way. You can trust your own guidance, wisdom and knowing. You know what is right and what is true for you. You can release yourself from the demons of fear, doubt, limitation and lack. You can eliminate the excess, the fluff and the things that are no longer true for you, peel back the layers and get down to the core, the bare bones. You can transform and eliminate beliefs that you’ve structured your life around that are no longer true for you, they probably never were, and rebuild upon a framework that is relevant, essential and right for you and discard the rest. Rebirth, renewal and recovery is in order. On yet another level, this can also be about the improvement and reformation of an actual structure; like remodeling or restoring a home or a building. This can also apply to laws and the reformation of policy.
What’s right is right. This period of growth and evolution is also reflected on the collective level in some of those ugly truths that are being exposed and uncovered. Things of a darker nature that many would rather not look at are being brought to light. The nitty gritty, underbelly is being brought into the wide-open and laid bare; especially where there has been corruption and abuse of power and authority or a consolidation of power within the structures of society like governments, churches, corporations, institutions, etc.
Mars, the ruler of the Aries New Moon is moving in on a meetup with powerful Pluto in Capricorn; also sending vibes to Jupiter in Scorpio. You’re able to pursue your goals, letting nothing stand in your way. This adds a lot of force, vigor, energy, intensity, might and muscle to move mountains, to push for change, growth, improvement, evolution and restructuring of frameworks, rules, policies, management, authority. Again, this could refer to rebuilding, remodeling, resurfacing, restoring, recycling or upcycling. At its worst, there could be anger and violence stemming from forcing opinions, views, beliefs, ethics, morals, right/wrong, etc. involving race, religion, culture, etc.
Venus in Taurus and Neptune in Pisces also get in the mix generating a bit of practical magick, enabling you to draw people and things to you that you love and want, lifting things to a higher level of love and a more refined sense of beauty; you can also attract alliances now, or get a good deal or an attractive price on something. You can create beauty, comfort, ease and enjoyment. You may be walking the tightrope between wanting and desiring and eliminating excess. There can also be too much of a good thing and it may cost you.
Whew! As if all of this isn’t enough, we also have some major energy shifts in our immediate future.
Chiron enters Aries April 17th just two days after this New Moon. Chiron, the Wounded Healer, has spent the last seven years or so in Pisces. Chiron’s journey through Pisces has made us more aware of collective suffering, weaknesses, blind spots, mistakes and the understanding that we are all in this together. It brought issues like addiction and mental illness into the light, as we realize there is no stigma, there is no separation, as these things can affect all ages, classes, colors, creeds or sexes; and how none of us are untouched or unscathed, this affects us all, changing the way we look at it and hopefully, leading to changes in the way we treat it.
Chiron will spend the next several years in Aries. We will see new ways in healing, self-healing, new ways of treating addiction, mental illness, PTSD and “Wounded Warriors”. We are already starting to see this. Some schools are adding “calming rooms” for mental health, yoga, meditation and relaxation. Acupuncture should be seriously considered. Chiron also has dominion over nature and woodlands and we are starting to see an increasing need for people get back to basics and spend time in natural surroundings and such things as “forest bathing”, “forest therapy” and “Earthing” are popping up on the radar. I suspect in the coming years, this will become the new norm. Chiron is known as a “maverick”, as one that does things differently and Aries is bold, pioneering and trailblazing. The coming years may bring many firsts as this begins a new cycle, bridging the old and the new; the Warrior Tribe knows that the only way forward is through.
Many blessings and good vibes to All at this New Moon!
