The New Moon in Scorpio October 25^th is a Solar Eclipse. A Solar Eclipse is like a Super Charged New Moon influencing the next six months or more. Eclipses hold a lot of weight in Astrology, acting as portals in time that seem to propel events forward at an accelerated rate, often bringing sudden beginnings and endings to situations. As things rapidly shift during Eclipse Season, it’s best to give yourself some space the days surrounding Eclipses as the energies can be a bit erratic. 



Although a New Moon Solar Eclipse typically symbolizes new beginnings, this Solar Eclipse in Scorpio is also connected with the South Node, symbolizing the past, bringing a release of Karmic energies before starting clean slated. There are skeletons and demons of the past rearing their ugly heads, as Scorpio rules the Underworld, along with things that are darker in nature, unmentionable and taboo. Shadows rise to the surface to be purged now. 

Venus is intertwined with this Solar Eclipse in Scorpio, as the Goddess of Beauty and Love occupies the same degree of the Zodiac, putting your most intimate relationships into focus. There may be a revival of love and affection, desire or passion, or mutual support and appreciation coming your way. Alternatively, perhaps this period brings an end to some important relationships, bringing up matters of trust, betrayal, jealousy, control or abuse. Soul Contracts are set for expiration and release, creating space for something more in alignment to enter. This phase seems to magically draw together Soul Connections and magnetic attractions. On some level, there’s an experience of renewal where your ties, alliances and involvements are concerned. 

Financially and economically speaking, there are seismic shifts occurring and you may be looking to restore, revamp or reboot your bank account. This could bring enormous strain and tension as you may be stretched further than you’re comfort level, requiring you to make some major adjustments. There could even be disputes, hostility or legal issues in your dealings with shared resources, banking, loans, credit, debts, mortgages, taxes, insurance or inheritance. Alternatively, perhaps you’re drawing wealth and resources your way.   

Jupiter retrograde in Aries connects with the Sun, Moon and Venus in Scorpio, stretching you a bit further, shifting beliefs about yourself, your capabilities, your worth, as you have a new understanding of what you’re made of, at your very core, enabling you to shed an old skin, bringing new developments, opportunities, growth and progress on several levels. You’re more than willing to reach out, connect and exchange at deeper levels, fine tuning your bonds and connections so that they’re more honest, authentic and worthy of your trust. 

Pluto in Capricorn is the ruler of this Solar Eclipse in Scorpio, which is sitting in a critical degree of the Zodiac, while engaged with Mars in Gemini. Mars is the Ancient ruler of Scorpio, putting an additional emphasis on the rawness, power, momentum and intensity of this Eclipse energy.  Both of Scorpio’s rulers remain engaged for the next month, bringing strongly persuasive and forceful transitions, and in some instances triggering anger, resentment, rage or violence. Mars in Gemini goes retrograde October 30^th until mid-January, remaining in Gemini until mid-March.

Mercury in Libra is also in the mix, making an easy flow of communication and conversation, exchanging ideas and information, while lifting all barriers, that have been keeping you quiet about matters important to you. You may have it out and what’s spoken, heard or learned could be harsh, offensive or outrageous, but saying what needs to be said clears the way for a new start. You may revisit and review previous information, earlier conversations, texts, emails, news, media, data, reports, knowledge, etc. Maybe you’re negotiating an agreement now, coming to terms or a settlement as there’s no longer a barrier or buffer.

Just a couple of days before the Eclipse, Saturn shifts into forward motion after being retrograde since early June, enabling you to move ahead on some of your long-range goals, or establishing communities, social networks and/or platforms. 

Just a couple days after the New Moon Solar Eclipse, Jupiter RE-enters Pisces on the 27^th, dipping his toes back into the depths of the Cosmic Waters, until mid-December. This influence is highly spiritual, sensitive, emotional and compassionate, bringing a deeper understanding, allowing you to peel back a layer on matters that have left you wondering, or something overlooked, unknown, secretive and mysterious. Your intuition may be cranked up to eleven with this influence, so tune in. That said, it can also bring collective confusion, sorrow or mourning by shining a light on things that have been kept under wraps and hidden in the shadows, along with the depth and complexity of the ties, links and networks keeping it covered. Watch for escapism, addictions, alcohol, medications, overdosing, poisoning, toxicity, etc. Water is also a feature of this influence, keep an eye on oceans, flooding, leaks, marine life, and oil.
