The Pisces New Moon February 20^th brings a sensitive phase of reflection. This period is more about being than doing as this lunation brings waves of deep emotions. Perhaps you’re feeling adrift, aimlessly wandering, purposeless or that you’ve lost your way, this period calls for moments of surrender, letting go and going with the flow. This phase is best used for turning inward, being reflective, meditative, creative and tuning into your intuition, enabling you to receive psychic downloads, insight and inspiration. 

This New Moon falls in the early degrees of the sign, putting an emphasis on new beginnings as situations are in the early stages, that said, Pisces is the last sign of the Zodiac, signifying endings. This phase serves as a transitional stage, bridging the shift from one stage to the next, which may make things seem unclear, uncertain, unknown or confusing or things may not make sense according to reality as you’ve known it. 

Pisces is a water sign making water especially emphasized during this phase-oceans, rivers, marine life, flooding, leaks, the availability of or quality of water. Ohio comes to mind.

Saturn is close to this New Moon though still in Aquarius, which brings a weightiness and significance to this period, with social and collective responsibility and accountability at the forefront. It appears that what opens during this lunation acts as a foreshadowing to situations that may come to a head at the next Full Moon, anchoring things, providing the framework. Saturn will move into Pisces and occupy this slice of the heavens for the first time in nearly 30 years. In fact, March holds some very weighty planetary movements that none of us have yet experienced, bringing seismic shifts our way. 

Things will be busy over the coming days with much to wrap your mind around as Mercury in Aquarius exchanges with Mars in Gemini, Uranus in Taurus and Chiron in Aries, there’s lots of chatter, surprising news, excitement, stimulating conversations, visitors coming and going, along with plot twists and turns and new narratives. There could also be news or information regarding banking, markets, costs or currencies. There may be cutting edge, innovative ideas and plans or new technology involving communications or energy. Perhaps a new Guide or Mentor comes along, teaching new and inspiring ideas that changes your perspective, taking things to a whole new level of awakening and awareness that takes you out of your comfort zone. 

Venus is in the last degree of Pisces connects with Pluto in Capricorn, also in the last degree; there may be restructuring of boundaries, trust and sharing within your closest connections, on the other hand, it may be a financial restructuring – either way, there’s the sense of tying up loose ends. Venus moves into Aries shortly after the New Moon transpires; again, giving the feeling of a transitional phase where love, values, personal desires are concerned, becoming more direct about what you wish for and going after it fearlessly and even attracting it to you magnetically.  

Another influence worth mentioning is Vesta in Aries opposite Ceres in Libra which has several layers of meaning showing up as being centered in oneself as a sovereign being, nurturing, caring for, loving and accepting oneself is key to truly caring for another. On another level, this influence suggests remaining vigilant, disciplined and protective when it comes to a sensible and balanced diet, nutrition and health routines, or food related disorders. This may also indicate staying cautious and protective regarding food, farmers and farming.  Additionally, this calls attention to deep family ties, roots, bloodlines, feelings of belonging, heritage and tradition.
