Leave it to a year like 2020 to conjure up a rare Halloween Full Moon -Blue Moon! A Blue Moon is when there’s a second Full Moon within the same month. October’s been holding a double dose of Lunar vibes as it opened with a Full Moon in Aries and has a Grand Finale Full Blue Moon in Taurus on Halloween. Falling on a day celebrated for enchantment, magic and mystery, this special Full Moon is filled with surprises. 

Taurus is a sign known for being slow and steady, reliable and predictable, however, this phase will be anything but, as this lunation is arm and arm with Uranus in Taurus. You may find this period thrilling and exciting or perhaps, shocking or upsetting while shining light on the uncommon, unusual, odd and strange. There’s a buzzing awareness, an awakening, as your senses come online and are amplified now, revealing things below the surface where you’ve been previously oblivious. You could have moments of revelation and discovery.

Additionally, Taurus is an Earth sign while Uranus is in charge of vibration and frequency; and as recently witnessed, the Schumann Resonance, the scale in which the heartbeat of the Earth is measured, is climbing and experiencing several anomalies as we collectively ascend and raise our vibration. Simply put, frequency and light are somewhat synonymous, and during this phase, with an influx and increase, it’s illuminating dark recesses and forcing it up to the surface to be confronted. This has been an ongoing process and it usually comes in gentler waves but this period it may be more of an energy surge. 

On another level, this influence also highlights money, markets and finances, banking and lenders, mortgages, loans, credit and debts, taxes, insurance, wills, inheritance and estates. There could be fluctuations with your earnings, commissions and royalties, or changes to payments, spending, cost or currencies. This could also refer to big tech corporations with a lot of money, influence and power and the digital purge taking place lately. 

You could see a turning point to the new starts you made back in April at the Taurus New Moon. 

The Sabian Symbol for this rare Blue Moon is, “a Christmas tree fully decorated”; with Christmas being associated with birth, while the light is increasing, and gifts are given and received. Dane Rudhyar speaks of this symbol’s keynote as “the ability to create inner happiness in dark hours”, and quite honestly, isn’t inner happiness really the only true happiness? Just saying. 

Relationships and agreements are also in the spotlight now as the ruler of this lunation, Venus in Libra, is at odds with Chiron in Aries across the sky.   It’s possible that a relationship rift occurs as you don’t see eye to eye and remaining neutral will be near impossible. That said, there’s also potential for healing, though it may not seem so at first as you could face your own injuries mirrored to you through another, perhaps revealing how you could be your own worst enemy.   This influence can assist in moving forward, bridging the gap and finding some middle ground between flying solo and being on your own and having connection and companionship without total compromise on who you are. On another level, alternative healing practices can bring balance and a homeostatic state. If you’ve been ill or on the mend, these modalities could help augment your recovery. 

Mercury is still retrograde in Libra until November 3^rd, while engaged in a tense holding pattern for a few days with Saturn in Capricorn. Pleasant conversations turn contentious and confrontational as your thoughts are on serious matters and feeling pressured to get down to the bare bones and focus only on matters of importance while negotiations, agreements and decisions may have to be rethought, reassessed and reworked.
