October is an eventful month holding two Full Moons, when this happens, the later Full Moon is called a Blue Moon. The Aries Full Moon October 1st is the first and the Blue Moon arrives on October 31st, Halloween to many, making it a “Shocktober Blue Moon, but more about that later.
The first Full Moon of the month is in Aries bringing a turning point to events set in motion back in early Spring at the Aries New Moon, March 24th.
This Full Moon is intricately connected to Chiron highlighting self–healing, new ways of wellness and alternative healing therapies such as energy healing, crystal healing, frequency and sound healing, just to name a few. Aside from the Wounded Healer Archetype that Chiron represents in Astrology, He’s also known as The Maverick, one that is a non-conformist, unconventional, doing things differently and finding new solutions and new ways to navigate the uncharted territory we find ourselves in.
The Sabian symbol for this Full Moon reads, “a scholar creates new forms from ancient symbols” – which suggests looking at things in a different light and putting your own spin on it, having a deeper understanding, in an immaterial, intangible way, and being able to reinvent or come up with your own version.
Mars, the ruler of the Full Moon, continuing to retrograde, and in his own sign, Aries, calls on your inner warrior, strength and bravery. Due to the retrograde motion, Mars has been in a holding pattern with stickler Saturn and powerful Pluto in Capricorn for the last few weeks. This influence has tested your patience, insisting you retrace your steps and re-define your goals and standards, rearrange your schedule or timeline, restructure your business or property or reform rules, policies and guidelines. Mars is energetic and impulsive and wants to get going but met with Saturn, things are slowed, blocked or halted insisting on your persistence and perseverance, calling on your discipline, accountability and maturity. Pluto in the mix, pushes through mercilessly eliminating resistance and obstructions. This has been an ongoing process of purging, discarding and dismantling while simultaneously rebuilding and reconstructing bringing restoration and renewal; Mars adds the impetus and motivation, so it’s been quite the grind lately. Saturn turns to direct motion just a few days before the Full Moon transpires and Pluto will follow just a few days after. These moves to forward motion will be strongly felt.
Your position and role in important matters are set, possessing you with lot’s of might to move mountains, letting nothing stand in your way.
Mars also engages favorably with Venus in Leo. This is a hot and fiery connection, assisting you to get in touch with your personal power, confidence and to bravely express your true self and to follow through on things close to your heart, perhaps attracting attention. You may also want to take another look at how your personal actions contribute to stirring your heart center and attracting and participating in things that fill you with love, happiness, fun and joy; those things that fill you with passion and make you feel alive and who or what you love to focus your attention on.
Last but certainly not least, Uranus in Taurus connects with this lunation, and it may be that your tastes and preferences have changed, altering some of your closest relationships. It could also indicate that what was once held in high regard, now requires you to seek alternatives. Financially, there are unexpected expenses, possible earnings or market fluctuations yielding a modification in your assessment, evaluation or calculation. On another level, awakening senses shift your balance and equilibrium.
Full Moon Blessings and Good Vibes to ALL!
